چکیده
To date, the most widely used biomarkers are natriuretic peptides and cardiac troponins. Many other have also been identified, but only a few of them found application in actual clinical practice. This review focuses on Klotho protein its role cardiovascular diseases.
In 1997, gene that slows down aging process was identified. It named (Greek, ώ, spinning; Latin, Clotho; English, Klotho) honor goddess ancient Greek mythology, spinning thread life being personification steady, calm course fate. Mice with an insertional mutation region promoter were characterized by premature processes. Three families known: -Klotho, studied is -Klotho. The consists large extracellular domain short C-terminal intracellular region. two repeat sequences called KL1 KL2. -Klotho contain KL2 domains, respectively, contains domain. humans located chromosome 13q12 five exons. mainly expressed distal convoluted tubules kidneys vascular epithelial plexus cerebral ventricles. At lower concentrations, organs tissues, particularly heart.

Cysteine Protease Cathepsins in Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Diseases
Atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) is an inflammatory disease characterized by extensive arterial wall matrix protein degradation. Cysteine protease cathepsins play a pivotal role in extracellular matrix (ECM) remodeling and have been implicated in the development and progression of atherosclerosis-based cardiovascular diseases. An imbalance in expression between cathepsins (such as...
متن کاملThe potential roles of FGF23 and Klotho in the prognosis of renal and cardiovascular diseases.
Fibroblast growth factor (FGF) 23 and Klotho are two factors associated with several metabolic disorders. Similar to humans, accelerated aging processes characterized by chronic vascular disease, bone demineralization, skin atrophy and emphysema have been recognized in FGF23-null mice and Klotho-deficient mice. The role of these factors in the control of mineral metabolism homeostasis have been...
متن کاملProlonging Software Life
In his seminal book, The Unfinished Revolution, Professor Michael Dertouzos eloquently argues that the promise of the digital revolution is yet to be fully realized. In particular, the ability to harness the power of the computer to significantly improve the quality of life for the vast majority of humankind remains unfinished. Dertouzos proposes a new paradigm of computing where digital access...
